Freakonomics Is Cool!

I will be brief. If you want to read a very interesting book, please look into reading FREAKONOMICS by Steven Levitt and Stephen Dubner. It is a very cool book about "exploring the hidden side of everything." It takes both a qualitative and quantitative approach on how something that does not look like a problem to the average person on the outside can be disected in a statistical approach to get to the bottom of some weird topics (yes, though the title makes it sound like a spin off of the kama sutra, it is not...sorry!). For example there is a chapter titled "What Do Schoolteachers and Sumo Wrestlers Have in Common?" which looks into how incentives will drive someone to cheat, however, you may never know this until either someone comes out and tells it or you use a statistical approach that is explained in the book. It is quite fascinating.

I guarantee you will enjoy this book and you will definitely be talking about it to others. Read and tell me what you think and then we can discuss some of the interesting topics in the book. Also, if you have any books that you find interesting, please post it in my comments.
